The Park offers an entertaining way to find out about Prehistoric times through workshops aimed at individuals, families and children from 4 years of age.
To take part in the workshops you must purchase your ticket at least 15 minutes in advance. On the days with a special activity that includes a workshop, the workshops will be replaced by the corresponding special activity.
Tickets can be purchased to take part in the workshops at the Park’s Reception area or via the following link: sale of tickets for the Park’s general workshop.
3th, 9th, 23th and 24th March, at 13:00 and 17:00.
Workshop on experimental archaeology. We will see for ourselves the effectiveness of some Palaeolithic inventions, discover their possible uses and test our ability to handle them: how to boil water, make a noise with a bull-roarer, discover the origin of glue and learn how to use a spray paint, among others.
In May and June, weekends and holidays at 13:00 and 17:15.
Thousands of colours gave life to the caves. Techniques, pigments, lighting... You will experience all of this in this workshop. Did you know that a prehistoric spray existed? We will discover the processes involved in creating a cave painting: how they are made and how pigments are obtained, what tools were used and what techniques were applied in Palaeolithic art.
In July and August, every day at 13:00 and 18:00.
In September, weekends and holidays at 13:00 and 17:00.
Enjoy a long journey through the history of hunting techniques and the tools used, from a simple hand axe to the complex spear throwers or bow. Be brave and give it a try!
In October, november and December, weekends and holidays at 13:00 and 17:00.
We will reconstruct the face of a Homo sapiens and a Neanderthal. But, what would we look like if we had turned out to be Neanderthals? Through a fun computer program we will transform ourselves and become real Neanderthals.
Once a month the "Lights for the artist" lighting workshop will be run, coinciding with the running of the visits with marrowbone lamps.
The workshops may be amended on special activity days.
For groups and education centres, please consult the conditions and options in the School Zone´s Workshops section.
